Round Island Lighthouse was built in 1895 at the tip of Round Island. Here it guided mariners passing through the Straits of Mackinac which connect Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. Now restored, the red and white lighthouse is an attractive sight for visitors who travel by ferry boat to Michigan’s popular Mackinac Island.
